SMS Notifications

VolunTrak can text you when your volunteer hours are approved, when a registered event is coming up, or when there's an update that needs your attention. Texting is optional and off by default — you turn it on yourself, from your own account, whenever you choose.

How to turn on SMS notifications

  1. Log in to your VolunTrak account.
  2. Go to My Profile (/My/Profile).
  3. Enter your mobile phone number.
  4. Under Notification Preferences, check "Text me SMS notifications."
  5. Save your changes.

This checkbox is unchecked by default. We only text you if you add your number and check the box yourself, after you've logged in — we don't collect phone numbers or opt anyone in during registration or on anyone else's behalf.

What to expect

  • Message frequency varies depending on your volunteer activity.
  • Message and data rates may apply. Consult your mobile carrier for details on your plan.
  • Reply STOP at any time to opt out. Reply HELP for help.
  • We do not sell or share your mobile number with third parties for marketing purposes.
